Security and privacy

Fluence analyzes behavioral patterns, not content. This page describes exactly how data is handled, what Fluence doesn't need, and how isolation, encryption, and deletion work.

Data Processed

Fluence processes digital interaction signals: clicks, response timing, uncertainty signals, navigation patterns, and interaction sequences. Those signals are normalized into a behavioral event stream and used to build behavioral context.

Data Fluence Does NOT Need

Fluence does not require the content of what someone types, views, or says to function. The analysis is about behavioral patterns, timing, and sequence, not the content of the interaction.

Behavioral Signals

See the Behavioral Intelligence page for the full list of signal types and what each one reveals.

See behavioral signals →

Encryption

Data is stored on AWS with encryption and access controls. Fluence implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards aligned with standard cloud infrastructure practices.

Authentication

Access to the Fluence portal is managed via AWS Cognito. Access to the behavioral context API is controlled by a per-account API key.

Tenant Isolation

Each customer account accesses only its own data via account-specific credentials and API keys. There is no cross-access between different customer accounts.

Retention

Data is retained while an account is active. Anonymized data may be kept for service improvement, even after an account is deleted.

Deletion

Upon account termination, data is deleted, except where retention is required by law. Data subjects may request anonymization, blocking, or deletion.

Model Training Policy

Customer behavioral data is used to generate context for that customer, not to train third-party models or models shared across customers, unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

LGPD

Processing is grounded in data subject consent or contract performance, per LGPD art. 7, V. Data subjects may request anonymization, blocking, or deletion of data.

GDPR

Fluence applies GDPR-aligned controls for customers and users in the European Union, including legal bases for processing and support for data subject requests.

Subprocessors

A current subprocessor list is available in the contractual version of the DPA. Request it at founders@fluenceinsights.com.

Infrastructure

Fluence is hosted on AWS (Amazon Web Services).

Responsible Behavioral Inference

Every behavioral inference Fluence produces carries a confidence level, not absolute certainty. Applications consuming behavioral context should treat it as a probabilistic signal, not a settled fact about the person.

Fluence is designed to interpret how people interact, not to reconstruct in detail what they do, view, or say.

Certifications

Fluence does not currently hold formal certifications such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001. If this is a requirement for your evaluation, reach out to discuss the compliance roadmap.
